A graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts—a residential magnet school whose founding premise is that science, humanities, and the arts don’t compete but complement each other—Jennifer has spent thirty years proving it.
Her editorial career began at Meteoritics & Planetary Science, a peer-reviewed academic science journal at the University of Arkansas, where a degree in Latin turned out to be excellent preparation for the particular precision a scientific text requires. From there she moved to Scriptorium Press and Arthuriana, a journal of medieval literary studies, before teaching Latin and French in Texas public schools.
Since returning to editorial work, she has edited emergency management plans for FEMA, technical blog posts for Amazon Web Services, mathematics curricula for New York State, professional development presentations for educators, and training materials for first responders. The subject matter changes; the standard does not.
